The Oshkosh Area School District has announced that the graduation ceremonies for both North and West high schools will be held on May 25 at the UW Oshkosh Kolf Sports Center. The ceremony for Oshkosh West will begin at 10 a.m., followed by North’s ceremony at 4 p.m. Despite the change in location, the dates and times of the ceremonies remain the same.
The decision to move the ceremonies to the Kolf Sports Center was made due to uncertainty surrounding the future of Oshkosh Arena, which was sold earlier this year. Superintendent Bryan Davis expressed gratitude to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for their partnership and support in hosting the ceremonies, stating that their goal is to provide graduates with a memorable celebration. The relocation to the Kolf Sports Center will allow for a seamless execution of the events as planned.
UWO Chancellor and faculty have expressed optimism about working together after a no-confidence vote, indicating that there is a positive outlook for future collaboration. For story tips or public interest concerns, contact Justin Marville at jmarville@gannett.com.
