New leadership appointed at Zrinjski: Rendulić’s successor chosen without Tomas’ input
Zrinjski has announced that Mario Ivanković (48) will be their new head coach after Krunoslav Rendulić was let go. This decision came after the team’s recent 3-0 loss to Velež in the Mostar derby, despite Rendulić leading them to a double crown and securing a historic placement in the group stage of the Conference League last year.
Ivanković is an experienced coach with extensive experience working with first teams. He has spent nearly six years with the same team and has also worked with the U17 and U19 national teams of BiH. Currently, he is part of the professional staff of the A national team of BiH. Zrinjski stated that Ivanković will be supported by coaches from the previous coaching staff until further notice.
The duration of Ivanković’s tenure as Zrinjski’s head coach has not yet been disclosed, but he will be assisted by coaches from the previous staff as he takes on this new role.
