Leake hired by Fortune to report on health and wellness

New Dean Brings Decades of Business Journalism Experience to Quinnipiac University while Fortune Magazines New Health and Wellness Reporter has a Strong Background in Science Writing.

Chris Roush, a distinguished business journalist, is now the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. Prior to his current role, he was the Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. With over two decades of experience in the field, Roush has worked for several notable publications such as Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. In addition to his work in academia and journalism, Roush has authored two books including “Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication” and “Thinking Things Over,” a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.

On the other hand, Lindsey Leake is a new addition to Fortune magazine’s team where she will be covering health and wellness. In addition to her work with Fortune, Leake is also a senior editor on the alumni editorial board of The Science Writer, the digital magazine of Johns Hopkins University’s science writing program. With a strong background in science writing and journalism, Leake has previously worked at USA Today newspapers in Florida. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Association of Health Care Journalists, National Association of Black Journalists
