Southwest Airlines introduces bag check-in service at affordable NOLA airport economy garage

New Baggage Check-In Service at Louis Armstrong International Airport: Streamline Travel with Southwest Airlines

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport announced on Friday morning that it has introduced a new baggage check-in service for Southwest Airlines customers. Located at the economy garage, which is open 24/7, this service provides an easy and efficient way for passengers to handle their checked luggage.

The economy garage, situated at 900 Airline Drive, offers 2,438 parking spaces and is a 15-minute shuttle ride from the airport. However, as of 10:10 a.m. on Friday, only 111 spaces were available in the garage due to high demand during the busy Fourth of July holiday weekend. Passengers are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot.

This new service is specifically aimed at improving the overall experience for passengers flying with Southwest Airlines. By offering baggage check-in at the economy garage, the airport hopes to reduce wait times and improve customer satisfaction.

It’s important for passengers to note that they must check their bags at least two hours prior to their flight to ensure a smooth check-in process. The airport’s website reported that all other parking lots were at capacity during the holiday weekend, highlighting the importance of planning ahead when it comes to parking at the airport.

Despite the high demand for parking, the economy garage remains a viable option for Southwest Airlines customers looking to check in their bags before their flights. With its convenient location and efficient services, this new addition is sure to make traveling with Southwest Airlines even more enjoyable for passengers heading out of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
