The 2024 NBA Draft has come to a close, and the Brooklyn Nets can now focus on other aspects of their offseason as they continue to move forward with their plans. One of the next steps for the Nets is putting together their Las Vegas Summer League roster, which seems to be taking shape nicely.
According to Josh Goodwin of Executive Sports Management, the Nets are set to add center David Muoka to their summer league roster. This news follows the recent additions of undrafted free agents KJ Jones II from Emmanuel University and Mark Armstrong from Villanova after the conclusion of the Draft last Thursday.
Muoka, who stands at 6-foot-10 and weighs 235 pounds, has previous experience with the Nets organization as he played for their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, during the 2023-24 season. In his time with Long Island, Muoka appeared in 33 games, starting 10, and averaged 4.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. He also posted shooting percentages of 56.9% from the field and 40.0% from the free-throw line.
At just 23 years old, Muoka entered the NBA during the 2023-24 season after playing his first two college seasons at Lamar University and his final two seasons at UNLV. He was initially selected third overall by Washington Wizards’ G League affiliate Capital City Go-Go in the 2023 G League Draft but was waived by them before Long Island claimed him
