NBC Sports Chicago: Cardinals Ink Deal with Lance Lynn
Former Chicago White Sox pitcher Lance Lynn has signed a one-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals. The news was reported by Jon Heyman of MLB Network. Lynn began the 2023 season with the White Sox, before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. With the Dodgers, he had a 7-2 record and a 4.36 ERA. Prior to his time with the White Sox, Lynn spent the first six seasons of his career with the Cardinals. He won a World Series ring with the team in 2011 and a National League pennant in 2013. Lynn’s return to the Cardinals aligns with his previous success with the team and he will be paid $10 million for the 2024 season, with an option for 2025 that could increase the contract to $26 million.
