The NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway was disrupted by inclement weather, causing a temporary red flag. A lightning delay and eventual rain halted the race on the 1.33-mile concrete oval in Lebanon, Tennessee. As a result, a yellow flag was waved on Lap 136 of the Ally 400 and the field stopped on Lap 137.
At that time, Christopher Bell was leading the race, with Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, and Chase Elliott following closely behind. The top 10 also included Denny Hamlin, Chris Buescher, William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., and Carson Hocevar.
The race had already seen two caution periods before the weather delay. John Hunter Nemechek spun at Lap 116 to cause the second caution flag and Ty Gibbs spun 10 laps later to trigger the third yellow flag.
