Napa Valley Auction Weekend Raises Funds for Mental Health Support for Youth

Napa Valley Wine Auction: Giving Back to the Community and Empowering Mental Health in Students

The annual wine auction in Napa Valley, California is a unique event that has been held since 1981. It was started by a group of winemakers and vendors who wanted to give back to the community. Over the years, the event has grown in popularity with other vintners and vendors eager to get involved. The Chairman of Napa Valley Vintners, Donna Walker, stated that the event gained traction because of the community’s devotion to the special place they call home.

Thousands of people from around the world participate in the auction both in person and online, raising over $230 million for local nonprofits over the past 40 years. The event not only raises funds for philanthropy programs but also fosters a sense of participation and giving back within the community. Cyril Chappellet, CEO/Chairman of Chappellet, emphasized the importance of the event in making a positive impact on the community.
