Mukesh Ambani and Son Anant Tie the Knot in Luxury Wedding Fit for Royalty

Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, are set to tie the knot on July 12 in what is being billed as one of the most anticipated and luxurious weddings in history. The extravagant pre-wedding celebrations have been ongoing for over four months and have been a testament to the couple’s commitment to opulence.

The festivities began in March with a jungle-themed fiesta that featured a light show with 5,500 drones and performances by Rihanna. Guests were treated to 500 different dishes prepared by 100 chefs and had the opportunity to visit an animal rescue center run by Anant, which houses abused, injured, and endangered animals.

In April, an army of Indian hairdressers, makeup artists, and clothing designers were hired to help guests get ready for the celebrations. The Ambani family also organized a community feeding service for 51,000 people living in villages near Jamnagar. In May, the couple took their love on the high seas with a Mediterranean cruise for 1,200 people that included stops in Europe and performances by Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys, and Andrea Bocelli.

Anant Ambani completed his education in the US and now runs the new energy business of his father’s empire. His girlfriend Radhika Merchant is the daughter of a pharmaceutical magnate and serves on the board of directors of Encore Healthcare. The couple will have a three-day Hindu ceremony at their family’s 27-story residence Antilia and at Jio World Convention Centre in Bombay. The wedding details are kept secret with Manish Malhotra named as the creative director.

The Ambani family is known for their commitment to social welfare and community support. Mukesh Ambani has organized several charity events throughout his career, including India’s most expensive wedding in 2018 for his daughter Isha Ambani wedding to Piramal Keshavanandan. He is considered one of Asia’s wealthiest men with interests ranging from petrochemicals to telecommunications
