Teens learn essential lawn care skills and entrepreneurial tips through innovative program

Mowing More Than Just Grass: How Lawn Care Can Teach Teens Important Life Skills and Build Self-Esteem

Lawn care has long been a popular outdoor activity, but it can also be a valuable tool for teaching teens important life skills and helping them become successful adults. Raising Men & Women Lawn Care is a program through Student Startup that aims to do just that, by teaching teens how to provide lawn care services, start their own businesses, and become confident young men.

The program is led by Eli Isaacs, who believes that lawn mowing can be a powerful way to help teenage boys transition into manhood and build self-esteem. Through the program, teens learn how to mow lawns for free for people in need, which helps them develop valuable skills in customer service and business management.

One of the participants in the program is Darius Hancock, who will be entering his freshman year of high school this fall. Hancock has found the program to be both fun and educational, learning various skills related to mowing and running a business. He plans on using these skills to start his own mowing business in the future.

Fellow participant Jaquin Santivanez has also found value in the program, learning about giving back to the community and helping those in need through their mowing services. Liam Ramsey sees the program as an opportunity to help others and bring positivity into people’s lives through volunteering and mentoring.

Overall, Raising Men & Women Lawn Care is an excellent way for teenagers to gain important life skills while also making a positive impact on their community. The program not only teaches students how to mow lawns but also instills values of community service and helping others that will serve them well throughout their lives.
