In Garbsen, Lower Saxony, a Lamborghini Urus was involved in a serious accident on a country road. The vehicle lost control in a right-hand bend and crashed into two trees, causing it to be completely destroyed. Despite the destruction of the car, two children and an adult were miraculously rescued from the wreckage alive.
The accident took place in the early evening between Ricklingen Castle and Garbsen in Lower Saxony. The luxury sports car, valued at 400,000 euros, was on its way through the Hannover region around 7 p.m. when the driver lost control. The impact of the crash threw the car around 100 meters across the road, causing it to catch fire and come to rest on its side.
Emergency responders had to use heavy equipment to free the occupants from their trapped positions inside the wreckage. One of them was a 5-year-old child who sustained serious injuries and had to be flown to hospital by rescue helicopter. The other two occupants were also taken to hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by police authorities as they work to determine what caused the driver’s loss of control on that fateful bend in the road. But regardless of what may have led to this tragedy, it serves as a stark reminder that high-speed driving poses significant risks not only for drivers themselves but also for those unfortunate enough to share public roads with them.
Despite this incident occurring during rush hour traffic on a busy German highway, we can take comfort knowing that emergency services acted quickly and effectively in saving lives in this instance.
