Minister Vandal Announces Federal Support for Small- and Medium-Sized Businesses in Alberta’s Clean Technology Sector

The Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan, will be making an announcement regarding federal support for small- and medium-sized businesses in Alberta. This support aims to help them take advantage of economic opportunities by commercializing and adopting clean technologies and clean energy solutions. The announcement is a part of a major investment to advance clean technology innovation across the province.

Minister Vandal will be joined by several representatives from government, industry, and community organizations to discuss the details of this initiative. These representatives include the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages; George Chahal, Member of Parliament for Calgary Skyview; Jyoti Gondek, Mayor of the City of Calgary; Jason Chernow, Calgary Elbow Métis District 6 Citizens’ Representative and Secretary of Environment and Climate Change for the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation within Alberta; Michael Mahon, Interim CEO of Alberta Innovates; Sean De Vries, Executive Chair of the Battery Metals Association of Canada; Thomas McArthur, Chief Operating Officer of Kuva Systems.
