Married couple chosen as Bettendorf Visiting Science Students

Stephanie and Joshua Hemberger had been named as this yr’s Bettendorf Group Colleges Basis Visiting Science Students.

The annual Visiting Science Scholar program goals to focus on and join trade professionals with Bettendorf Excessive College college students taken with pursuing science, know-how, engineering and/or math (STEM) fields.

The duo — each Class of 2002 graduates — will give a presentation to highschool STEM college students on Friday, March 24, specializing in the horizontal and vertical infrastructure that builds our communities. They will even attend the annual Bett STEM Expo on Saturday, March 25, to talk with visitors.

Stephanie Hemberger (previously Brodersen) is a transportation engineer and mission supervisor. She leads the transportation design apply for nationwide agency HNTB out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Hemberger attended Paul Norton Elementary College earlier than progressing by the district. She earned her bachelor’s diploma in civil engineering from Iowa State College in 2006, additionally minoring in French.

Her husband, Joshua Hemberger, attended Grant Wooden Elementary College and in addition attended ISU, the place he graduated along with his Bachelor’s of Structure in 2008 with a digital media minor.
