Major Blunder: Man Arrested for Carrying Replica Sword from The Legend of Zelda in England
Recently in Warwickshire, England, a man from Nuneaton was arrested for carrying a replica of Link’s Master Sword from the video game “The Legend of Zelda” with a real blade. Anthony Bray had purchased the sword online and intended to use it as a stress reliever, but his actions were illegal due to U.K. law prohibiting the possession of blades in public.
On June 8th, officers spotted Bray walking down the street with the Master Sword on display. Despite his claims that he had no intention of using the sword as a weapon, simply carrying a blade in public was still a violation of the law. As stated by Warwickshire Police Sergeant, “You can find stress relief without breaking the law. It’s important to be mindful of local laws and regulations when carrying objects in public spaces.”
Bray was sentenced to four months in prison and fined £154 (around €180). This incident serves as a reminder to always be aware of your surroundings and comply with local laws to avoid legal consequences.
