Spring sports activities in Lenawee County are in full swing

Lenawee County High Schools Kick Off Spring Sports Season with Exciting First Games

The spring sports season is well underway for Lenawee County high schools. On Monday, girls soccer teams took the field. Clinton defeated Tecumseh 8-2, with Aubrey Lauer scoring an impressive six goals. Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists, while Kaylee Raiser contributed two assists. Goalkeeper Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton. Meanwhile in another game, Monroe bested Blissfield 7-2.

In lacrosse action, the Tecumseh girls team started their season with a tough 16-4 loss to Sylvania Northview from Ohio. Sapphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh, while Jayden Poley and Jazlyn Reau also netted a goal each in the game.
