James P. Youngs, a lawyer at Hancock Estabrook LLP, has been appointed to the advisory board of the New York State Small Business Development Center (NYSBDCC). The NYSBDCC is a group composed of business, government, and educational leaders from across the state who provide advice and expertise to the center’s executive director and staff in assisting entrepreneurs and small businesses in New York.
Youngs’ legal practice focuses on representing companies, organizations, municipalities, and individuals in various matters, including business and contract disputes, regulatory and administrative proceedings, intellectual property infringement claims, construction disputes, and real property litigation. He also specializes in helping new and existing businesses seek minority and women-owned business enterprise (MWBE) certification from New York State and other accrediting agencies. With extensive experience in this growing area of law, Youngs has successfully appealed numerous denials of certification for his clients.
