Julian Thomas Elementary School Students Showcase Their Scientific Skills at Fresh Air Science Fair: Award Assembly Celebrates Outstanding Performance

Recently, the fifth-grade students at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recognized for their outstanding performance in the Fresh Air Science Fair that lasted almost two months. The fair began on February 1st with students forming teams and submitting projects that brought scientific concepts about clean air pollution to life. The entries were evaluated based on the quality of research, data analysis, and creativity of presentation.

On Wednesday, March 27th, an award assembly was held at the school to announce the winners and distribute prizes. The event was attended by Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers. During the ceremony, first-place team members received three tickets to attend the April 10th Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, along with transportation to and from the game and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the match. Second and third-place teams received Bucks merchandise as their rewards.

The success of this event was made possible through a partnership between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. Congratulations to all participants who contributed to this exceptional science fair!
