Journalist: Borrell Supports Palestine Statehood and Unveils Gaza Future Plan in December
Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy, presented his defense before the Foreign Ministers of the Twenty-seven on Monday. In his speech, he expressed his belief that the best security option for Israel is the creation of the State of Palestine and stated that he will present a plan for the future of Gaza. Borrell said that he drew this conclusion after multiple contacts in the region and believes that it is the best guarantee of security for Israel.
To advance towards this political conclusion, Borrell commissioned the EU External Action Service to create a document with options for the future of Gaza. He hopes that this document will be on the ministers’ table in December and will serve as a basis for relaunching
