Johnson Stuns the Political World by Urging Voters to Choose Between Higher Taxes and Uncontrolled Immigration at Conservative Election Rally

In a surprising turn of events, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson defended current Conservative leader Rishi Sunak at a small Conservative election rally in London on Tuesday night. Despite their falling out and Johnson’s absence from the campaign for six weeks, his appearance came as a shock after weeks of campaigning.

At the rally, Johnson urged voters to choose between higher taxes and uncontrolled immigration, arguing that voting Labour would result in unnecessary kowtowing to Brussels. “If you really want higher taxes, if you want uncontrolled immigration and if you want unnecessary kowtowing to Brussels, vote Labour on Thursday,” he said.

If Labour wins 453 seats to the Conservatives’ 115 seats on Thursday morning, they will have a landslide majority of 256 seats for the British left. This would be a historic result as it would surpass Tony Blair’s victory in 1997 and represent the largest ever victory in a British election.
