This year, eight University of Jamestown baseball players were recognized for their outstanding performances with GPAC All-Conference awards. The first team included Alex Alva, Avery Liestman, and Ethan Petty. On the second team were Chase Burke, Cade Torgerson, and Jordan Singleton. Torgerson was also named an All-Conference gold glover. Additionally, four Jimmies received honorable mentions: Ryan Radkey, Hayden Brown, Luke Zimmer, and Jett Nelson. Each player played a crucial role in the team’s success this season.
Alva had a strong season with a .330 batting average, five home runs, 37 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases. Liestman made an impressive debut as a Jimmie with a 7-1 record in his first season at Jamestown College. Petty pitched in 23 games this season and went 1-1 with a .42 ERA and 36 strikeouts. Torgerson had an excellent track record of 7-3 in 16 appearances this season including one save with a 2.91 ERA and 82 strikeouts while maintaining a perfect fielding percentage.
