Dan Morgan: Panthers stay in communication with Jadevejson Clowney

Jadeveon Clowney’s Future Uncertain as Teams Battle for His Signature in Free Agency

Carolina Panthers General Manager Dan Morgan is keeping his options open when it comes to bringing in free agent pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney. While there has been interest from both the Panthers and Jets, a deal does not seem imminent. Morgan stated that they are in touch with Clowney’s camp, but nothing has materialized yet. The Panthers are also considering other players to improve their roster and make it as strong as possible.

The Ravens have recently released Clowney, which means he is now an unrestricted free agent. He had a successful season with the team during which he matched his career high of 9.5 sacks. Given his performance, teams are still interested in signing him, especially at the age of 31. However, Clowney is known to take his time in free agency and often opts for one-year contracts. This gives him multiple options available when choosing a team for the upcoming season.

Jets General Manager Joe Douglas has also confirmed that they have been in talks with Clowney as well. Despite ongoing discussions, it remains uncertain where Clowney will end up playing in the upcoming season. Both teams have expressed their interest, but a deal seems to be elusive at this point.
