Israel requests mediators to pressure Hamas as they present a new truce offer

Israel and Hamas Continue to Engage in Intense Negotiations for a Ceasefire in Gaza

Israeli authorities are working tirelessly to bring an end to the violence in Gaza, as confirmed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office. The delegation sent to Cairo to negotiate a new ceasefire has completed their meetings and is returning to Israel.

The negotiations were intense, with representatives from intelligence services and the Israeli Army participating. Egyptian mediation played a crucial role in bringing the two sides together, and Israeli mediators put forward an updated proposal to Hamas.

Despite previous failed attempts at dialogue, there remains hope for progress through “vigorous action.” The parties have not been able to reach a new agreement similar to the one in November that led to the release of hostages held by Hamas in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Netanyahu’s office has reiterated Israel’s commitment to making every effort to secure the release of the Hamas hostages and their safe return.
