Ireland Launches First National Plan for Quantum Technology Advancement
Ireland’s first national strategy for quantum technologies, known as Quantum 2030, was recently unveiled with the goal of establishing a competitive global hub by 2030. The strategy aims to focus the efforts of Ireland’s quantum technologies community on areas of emerging growth in quantum technologies where the country can gain a competitive advantage. One key area of focus is quantum computing, which uses the principles of quantum theory to explain the behavior of energy and material on the atomic and subatomic levels. By harnessing the potential of these emerging technologies, Ireland hopes to establish itself as a leading player in the global quantum technology industry.
