Investor Confidence in Finnish Stocks Fluctuates Amid Uncertain Times
In June, Finnish private investors were heavily investing in stocks, particularly those that had experienced significant price drops throughout the year. According to Nordnet’s stock trading statistics, Neste and Nvidia were the top two choices among investors in the country.
Despite a 47% drop in price since January, Neste remained the most traded and net purchased stock among Nordnet’s Finnish customers for the third consecutive month. Investors saw an opportunity to buy more shares as the stock fell 14% in June. Meanwhile, on the foreign stock front, Nvidia dominated the trading activities of Nordnet’s Finnish customers in June. The American chip designer attracted investors with its net purchases amounting to 14.9 million euros during the month.
Aside from Neste and Nvidia, Premature, Outokumpu, and Nokian Tires were also popular choices among Finnish investors. However, CombiWorks and Nordea saw more selling activity during this period.
Overall, Finnish investors adopted a strategic approach to their investments by favoring companies that paid strong dividends and transferring funds to those that had lost value despite market volatility. Despite this uncertainty in the marketplace, investors remained active in trading stocks, funds, and ETFs.
