Boston looks to secure 60th win of the season against Oklahoma City at home

Intense Showdown: Celtics vs. Thunder in NBA Playoffs Preview

The Boston Celtics (59-16) and Oklahoma City Thunder (52-23) will face off in a highly anticipated game on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. EDT. The game is expected to be an intense battle, with the Celtics currently leading the Eastern Conference standings while the Thunder sit in third place in the Western Conference. According to FANDUEL SPORTSBOOK NBA LINE, the Celtics are favored by 8.5 points, with the over/under set at 230.

Both teams have had impressive performances this season, but they approach this game with different strengths and weaknesses. The Celtics have been dominant at home, boasting a 32-3 record and ranking fifth in the Eastern Conference for fast break points per game, averaging 15.2 with Jaylen Brown leading the team with 4.4. On the other hand, the Thunder have struggled on the road, with a 23-15 record and ranking eighth in the league for fast break points per game with 15.6, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 3.5.

One area where the Thunder may have an edge is their shooting accuracy from beyond the arc, as they allow an average of only 13.4 made three-pointers per game while shooting an impressive 49.9% from the field – a full 4.6% higher than their opponents’ shooting percentage against them. In contrast, Boston averages just under two more made three-pointers per game (16.6) but shoots only slightly above their opponents’ average of 48%.

This will be just their second meeting this season, as they previously squared off in October during preseason play when Oklahoma City emerged victorious by just four points (127-123). Jayson Tatum leads Boston in scoring so far this season with an impressive average of 27.2 points per game while Chet Holmgren has been instrumental for Oklahoma City since joining them midway through last season and has already demonstrated his potential to be a top scorer for years to come with an average of 16.7 points per game so far this year
