Can eating jackfruit trigger hot flashes?

Hot Summer Nights: How Jackfruit Can Add Variety to Your Diet While Being Mindful of Your Health

Jackfruit is a summer fruit that is rich in nutrients such as zinc, calcium, and iron. While it does not have a high temperature, eating too much of it can cause the body to feel hot due to its high sugar content. In fact, consuming sweet foods can increase blood sugar levels, which can be harmful, especially during hot summer weather.

However, when eaten in moderation, jackfruit can provide numerous health benefits. It is recommended to eat 4-5 segments of jackfruit per day or approximately 80-100g. The World Health Organization recommends adding 200-300g of ripe fruit daily for variety. It is best to eat jackfruit about 1-2 hours after your main meal and not too hungry or full. Eating jackfruit at night may cause bloating and digestive issues, so it should be avoided.

People with diabetes, fatty liver disease, overweight or obesity should limit their intake of jackfruit due to its high sugar content. However, if consumed in moderation and added to a balanced diet, jackfruit can be a delicious and nutritious addition to any meal plan during the summer months.
