Gündogan: Germany’s Win over Spain in Euro Championship Quarter-final Depends on Their Ability to Handle Transitions Without Possession

Gündogan is confident that Germany will emerge victorious against Spain in the European Championship quarter-final. Despite their reputation as a highly respected team, Gündogan believes that Germany has qualities that make them well-suited to face Spain. He mentioned that his FC Barcelona teammates, Lamine Yamal and Pedri, will be opposing players in the upcoming match in Stuttgart.

Gündogan praised Yamal as an “extremely special” talent but noted that he still needs to work on defensive movements. He emphasized that Yamal’s role as a transition player is critical for Spain, especially if they lose possession quickly during the game. Gündogan stated that the team that handles not having possession of the ball better will have a significant advantage in the match on Friday.

In terms of form, performances in the tournament, attractiveness, and efficiency, Gündogan believes that both teams are among the top teams in Europe. He highlighted the importance of handling transitions without possession for both teams to perform at their best in Stuttgart.
