Bernie Clarke, a dedicated volunteer at the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry, spent an hour on Monday morning packing Thanksgiving bags as part of a food assembly line. The pantry, located at St. Agnes Church, was filled with volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure that families in need had access to a holiday meal.
Linda Young, the organizer of the event, estimated that they would distribute around 275 bags of food throughout the day. The community’s support and commitment to helping those less fortunate were evident in their efforts. The bags packed by the volunteers would make a significant difference for many families during the holiday season.
The Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry’s mission to provide food security to the community has been a vital aspect of their work.
