Tim Patrick, a 28-year-old wide receiver, has been a valuable asset to the Denver Broncos since joining the team in 2018. Before joining the Broncos, Patrick started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in 2017. He was later waived during training camp and signed with the San Francisco 49ers, who ultimately released him before the start of the season.
Despite these setbacks, Patrick found success with the Broncos when he signed with their practice squad just a few months after being cut by the 49ers. He worked his way onto the active roster and quickly became a key depth piece for the team. In 2019, he suffered an injury that sidelined him for part of the season but he had a breakout year in 2020, where he totaled impressive stats over the next two seasons.
In recognition of his outstanding performance, the Broncos signed Patrick to a three-year, $30 million contract extension in 2021. Unfortunately, he suffered season-ending injuries in both 2022 and 2023 due to an ACL and Achilles injury respectively which caused him to miss the entire year.
Despite these challenges, Patrick remains likely to make the 53-man roster for next season thanks to his restructured contract. He will look to bounce back in 2024 and prove once again why he is still a valuable member of this team before his contract expires in
