From Standout to Sidelined: The Journey of McMinn County’s Bryce Goodner with UTC

McMinn County standout Bryce Goodner missed the 2023 season due to a serious health concern that was diagnosed at the start of preseason camp in the summer. Goodner, an offensive lineman for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, was sidelined as he battled this health issue but did not know exactly what was wrong at the time. Despite his absence, Goodner’s impact was felt on the team as he was a standout player in 2022.

Goodner’s absence was noticeable during the Mocs’ 2023 schedule when he was unable to participate due to his health concerns. The UTC offensive lineman missed the entire season and was unable to showcase his skills on the field. Goodner’s presence was sorely missed by the team, and his absence was felt throughout the season. However, his health was the top priority, and he fought to overcome this obstacle with determination and spirit.

Bryce Goodner had been a standout freshman in 2022 from McMinn County before missing out on playing in 2023 due to a serious health concern. Despite not being able to play, Goodner’s impact on the team remained evident as he had been a key player in 2022.
