From Science to Start-ups: The Llao Llao Forum Emphasizes Global Uncertainty and Highlights Innovative Initiatives

The Llao Llao Forum, a gathering of influential businessmen and entrepreneurs in the picturesque town of Bariloche, is focusing on global uncertainty for its 2019 edition. While the event dedicates significant resources to this topic, it also has a special panel dedicated to start-ups.

Three selected start-ups in this panel have strong connections with the Argentine scientific system from public universities and Conicet, which is surprising given the perception of inefficiency and budget cuts in these areas by the Casa Rosada. Among these start-ups are OncoPrecision, founded by Tarek Ali Zake in collaboration with scientists from the National University of Córdoba. Using artificial intelligence, OncoPrecision can assess the progress of cancer treatments with precision and effectiveness, creating personalized treatments for patients.
