Eddie Rosario, a former postseason hero and outfielder, has returned to the Braves organization. In 2021, Rosario played a significant role in the team’s World Series run and won the NLCS Most Valuable Player award for his impressive performance. During the postseason, he appeared in all 16 games and had a remarkable .560 batting average with three home runs against the Dodgers.
After the World Series victory, Rosario signed a two-year contract with the Braves. However, after the 2023 season, the Braves decided not to pick up their $9 million club option on his contract. Despite this setback, Rosario continued to play professionally and started the 2024 season with the Washington Nationals. Unfortunately, he struggled at the plate, hitting just .183 in 67 games.
Now, at 32 years old, Rosario will be reporting to the AAA Gwinnett Braves to continue his career. It will be interesting to see how Rosario adapts to this new opportunity and what he can bring to the Braves organization once again.
