In Hayward, Wisconsin, a unique community demonstrated its ability to move floating bogs. Last month, a 2-acre bog with 30-foot Tamarack trees blocked waterways on Lake Chippewa Flowage near Hayward. A group of “bog pushers” utilized their boats to move the bog and clear the waterways for boaters. One of the pushers explains the process involved in moving these floating structures with precision, highlighting how teamwork, planning and technology are key factors in success.
