The broadcast on WB was impressive, as they took into consideration the comments made by PB and made improvements to certain aspects of the show. One of the most impressive features was the commentary booth, which now featured Carlsson + Gwin or other professional riders. Additionally, Reece made an appearance, showing promise as a future TV personality.
The coverage of the entire track was excellent, with one area that could use improvement being the camera angles. Some shots, like the ski jump into the final area, were taken from too high up, diminishing the excitement of the finish area. However, other camera angles did make the track appear flat compared to previous broadcasts.
On a positive note, slow-motion replays were exceptional and greatly enhanced the viewing experience. Drone footage was also very effective in capturing unique angles and providing a refreshing perspective on the action. The producers listened to feedback and stopped cutting to shots of team managers mid-run, opting for a smaller window instead.
Overall, while there are still areas for improvement, it’s clear that WB is making efforts to enhance their broadcast and provide a better viewing experience for fans.
