Are you aware of a mother in the sports world who deserves recognition? On May 12th, we will be honoring a “Sports Mom of the Year” with a special feature. This day also happens to be Mother’s Day, making it the perfect occasion to celebrate these incredible mothers.
If you know a deserving mother, you can nominate her by submitting her name and explaining why she should be named “Sports Mom of the Year” by 9 p.m. on May 3rd. You can submit your nomination via email to Kyle Neddenriep at kyle.neddenriep@indystar.com or leave a voicemail with contact information at (317) 444-6649.
Last year, the award was shared by Crystal Clark and Amy Dinwiddie. Previous winners include Susie Strange in 2022, Kris Scheeps in 2021, Kathy Loggan in 2020, and Angie Young in 2019. These women have all made a significant impact on the sports world and deserve recognition for their hard work and dedication.
So if you know a mother who has made a difference in the sports world and deserves to be recognized, don’t hesitate to submit a nomination. Call Star reporter Kyle Neddenriep at (317) 444-6649 to learn more or to make a nomination today!
