The Municipality of Dhofar is preparing for the upcoming Dhofar Fall 2024 activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman. They reported that last year’s season, Dhofar Fall 2023, saw an increase of 962 thousand visitors compared to 813 thousand in 2022. This year they anticipate a surge in visitors to over one million.
During a press conference at the Arabian Travel Market 2024 exhibition in Dubai, Mayor of Dhofar Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al-Ghassani announced that this year’s activities will commence early at existing and new locations for the fall season, starting on June 21 and ending on September 20. The extended three-month period aims to attract more tourists.
As part of the activities at the Arabian Travel Market, the “Atin Square” website was launched, showcasing various events such as Omani and Arab artistic concerts at the Al Murooj Theater. The games area in Atin Square will feature a sports challenge field. In addition to this, “Return of the Past” activities will be held in the Al-Saada area, simulating local environments from different governorates of Oman with new additions. Lastly, the first “Dhofar International Theater Festival” will be organized to encourage participation from authorities in Oman.
