David Walters, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in business development and sales leadership in the energy industry, has been appointed as the new director of autogas business development at the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). In his new role, Walters will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic market plans to increase the adoption of propane autogas and supporting the research and development of innovative products in the industry.
Tucker Perkins, president and CEO of PERC, expressed confidence in Walters’ ability to drive sustainable energy solutions in the transportation sector. Previously, he served as the national sales manager at Atlas Copco Compressor, where he led business development efforts across multiple regions in North America. Walters holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and business from Cabrini University (Villanova) and is excited about his new role at PERC.
As an advocate for sustainability, Walters is eager to make a meaningful impact on the future of transportation by exploring potential partnerships and opportunities with collaborators to drive the adoption of cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions together. Steve Whaley, who previously held this position at PERC, recently transitioned to the role of alternative fuels manager at Blue Bird Corp., but his legacy will continue to inspire others towards a greener future.
