A Lake Charles-based daiquiri chain is planning to open a new location in Youngsville as part of a multi-lot commercial development near Sugar Mill Pond. Grace Properties LLC, owned by David and Amanda Trahan, who own Paradise Grill & Daiquiris, purchased 6.2 acres of land near the Mill Commons shopping center from Young’s Industries for over $2.8 million, according to land records.
David and Amanda Trahan plan to divide the land into five lots, with their business to be located on the southern end of the property. The remaining lots will be sold to other businesses. Construction is expected to begin in the fall.
Previously, the Trahans had purchased 1.6 acres of land along Milton Road near the Metairie Center shopping center in 2022 for $555,000. However, they later sold it to a Baton Rouge-based development group for $800,000 the following year, according to land records. Although their initial plan was not to sell, an attractive offer led them to change their minds.
David Trahan mentioned that the new location in Youngsville is a better fit for their business than the previous one. Their goal is to expand into the Lafayette area with five or six locations, as well as expand into Baton Rouge. Paradise Grill & Daiquiris currently has locations in Lake Charles, Moss Bluff, and Sulphur, with another Lake Charles location set to open on May 1st.
