Exclusive Access to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Demo on PS5: A First Look at the Epic RPG’s World and New Battle System.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has made the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo available on PS5, giving players the chance to experience the opening chapter of one of the most highly anticipated games of 2024. The demo will consist of two parts, with the second section scheduled for release on February 21st, allowing a sneak peek into the vast game world before the official launch on February 29th, exclusively on Sony’s console. This was announced during a dedicated State of Play event for the game.

During the State of Play presentation, in addition to the demo, a final trailer was also shown which provided an overview of the plot and characters, including Sephiroth’s mission to save the planet from his own actions. The trailer also featured new locations, minigames and returning favorites. A new battle system was introduced that combines real-time action with strategic controls.

The “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim” demo provides an extensive flashback section that allows players to revisit the Nibelheim Incident, a crucial story mission set five years before the main events of the game. On February 21st, this demo will be updated with a new section titled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon,” providing additional exploration and combat possibilities. It is important to note that any progress made in this section will not be transferable to the full game, but steps completed in this first demo can be skipped in the full version. Completing this demo will reward players with bonuses that can be used in-game, including a moogle lucky charm and adventure items.

The presentation offered an overview of some key features such as traversing through different areas in-game, new minigames and character interactions which influence how story unfolds. New information about protagonists and mechanics like skill trees were also revealed along with updates about soundtrack compositions for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
