The Public Health Resource Fair is an annual celebration that brings together individuals and communities to learn about and promote public health. This event provides an opportunity to come together, support each other, and work towards improving the health of all people.
Dr. Ashanti Carter from CDU will lead a career panel, while Director Alison King from LBHHS will be a special guest. Together, they will share their knowledge and expertise on the importance of public health and how it can make a difference in our lives.
This year’s event also coincides with National Public Health Week, Black Student Success Week, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Awareness Month. These events highlight the importance of promoting health equity and addressing systemic barriers that prevent certain communities from accessing healthcare services.
Attendees who RSVP, check-in, and attend the resource fair will receive free food while supplies last. More information can be found on the event flyer. If you require sign language interpreting or Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services for this event, please contact the event contact person at least 72 hours beforehand if you are a student requiring these services or at least 5 business days beforehand if you are a faculty or staff member requiring these services. Requests will be based on provider availability.
