Elara Caring Expands into Iowa with Acquisition of Caregivers Home Health: Enhancing the Continuum of Care for Seniors

Caregivers Home Health, a privately owned company based in Topeka, Kansas, has recently been acquired by Elara Caring, a Dallas-based senior care provider. This acquisition marks Elara Caring’s entrance into the Iowa market and has expanded their range of services.

Founded in 2004, Caregivers Home Health is headquartered in Topeka and has additional locations in Garden City, Centerville, and Chariton, Iowa. They have a dedicated team of clinicians who serve over 60,000 patients, providing quality care and support to those in need.

Elara Caring currently operates from 200 locations across 18 states, offering various services such as home health, hospice, personal care, behavioral health, and palliative care. Their relationship-based approach and value-based care model have led to improved patient outcomes in communities across the country.

This acquisition is the latest in a series of expansions for Elara Caring, following previous acquisitions like Assisted Daily Living in Rhode Island in 2023 and American Family Home Health in Illinois last year. Scott Powers, the CEO and chairman of Elara Caring, expressed excitement about the acquisition and stated that they are confident that their new ownership will provide their patients and partners with the best possible care. Ed Schulte, the CEO and President of Caregivers Home Health also expressed his confidence in Elara Caring’s strong reputation for care.
