Dual Threat: Sophomore Basketball Player Mason Striverson Takes Academic All-District Honors for Her Excellence on and off the Court

Sophomore guard Kynidi Mason Striverson is a standout player for the Evansville Aces, both on the court and in the classroom. After a successful 2023-24 women’s basketball season, Mason Striverson was honored as an Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. She was the Aces’ second-leading scorer, averaging 11.5 points per game, and led the team in assists with 122 over the span of 32 games.

Mason Striverson is one of only three Evansville players who appeared in all 32 games and is the sole player to start in every single game. Her impressive performance on the court has earned her recognition from her teammates and coaches alike.

Off the court, Mason Striverson is equally impressive. She maintains an impressive 3.663 cumulative GPA as a business management major and has been recognized on the University of Evansville’s Dean’s List twice during her time at the university. To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have participated in 90% of the team’s games or started in 66% of the team’s games. Mason Striverson’s achievements both on and off the court demonstrate her dedication to excelling in all aspects of her collegiate career.
