Passenger Passes Away During Royal Caribbean’s 9-Month Ultimate World Cruise

Cruise Ship Tragedy: Royal Caribbean Confirms Passenger Death on Ultimate World Cruise

On February 12th, Royal Caribbean confirmed that a passenger on board the Serenade of the Seas had died. The ship is currently on a nine-month-long Ultimate World Cruise. The company expressed its support to the deceased passenger’s loved ones and stated that they would not be sharing any further information at this time.

E! News reached out to Royal Caribbean for their comment, but have not yet received a response. The news of the passenger’s death was originally reported by TikToker Adita, who has since deleted the video in which she shared the news. According to People, she mentioned that an elderly lady had passed away on board the ship the night before and that she witnessed her body being taken out.

The Serenade of the Seas set sail on its 274-night Ultimate World Cruise back in December with tickets sold for $53,999. Despite this unfortunate event, the cruise became a viral sensation among travelers around the world.
