The Cardinals’ season opener against the Bills is just 67 days away

Counting Down to Kickoff: The Journey of NFL Prospect Austen Pleasants and Predecessor Justin Pugh with Arizona Cardinals

The NFL offseason is in full swing and we are eagerly anticipating the start of the 2024 regular season, which is just 67 days away. The Arizona Cardinals will kick off their season against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in Week 1.

The current No. 67 on the Cardinals roster is offensive lineman Austen Pleasants. Despite only playing two career NFL games and having just 10 career offensive snaps, Pleasants has been given a chance to compete and practice with the team. While he has yet to make a significant impact for the Cardinals, there is still hope that he could make the team in the future.

Pleasants’ predecessor as No. 67 was offensive lineman Justin Pugh, who played with the team from 2018 to 2022. Pugh excelled as both a right guard and left guard during his time with the Cardinals, starting a total of 56 games for them. He was also able to fill in at right tackle when needed, showcasing his versatility on the offensive line.

After his time with the Cardinals, Pugh went on to play 12 games for the New York Giants last season. Throughout his career, Pugh has found success on multiple teams and was originally drafted by the Giants in the first round in 2013.
