Community Runs to Raise Awareness and Funds for Children’s Mental Health in Columbus, Ohio

Nearly 2,000 people gathered in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday for the On Our Sleeves 5K event, which aimed to raise awareness and funds for children’s mental health. The race took place at the Columbus Crew’s Lower.com Field and was a community run and walk that encouraged participants to break stigmas associated with mental health.

Whitney Raglin Bignall, the associate clinical director for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, emphasized the importance of continuing to discuss mental health and breaking stigmas associated with it. The funds raised from the event will contribute to providing free mental health resources through the foundation. By raising awareness and funds, individuals can come together to support the cause and help provide essential mental health resources.

Since its inception in 2018, On Our Sleeves has provided free pediatric mental health education resources to over 6 million individuals across the United States. To learn more about the organization and how to get involved, visit their website.
