Ezekiel Guevarra, a senior at Clemson University, is majoring in Packaging Science with a minor in Business Administration. Known for his hard work and dedication, Guevarra has consistently made the Dean’s List and President’s List at Clemson University. He has completed a co-op rotation and internship with Sonoco, developed a sustainable whey protein powder brand, and worked on a project to redesign pancake mix packaging for sustainability in his senior year. Guevarra is a member of the Clemson Packaging Science Club and plans to pursue a Master of Science in Packaging Science under Dr. Duncan Darby’s guidance.
Sarah Dumont, also a senior at Clemson University, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Science with a focus on Food and Healthcare Packaging. She is actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including Tiger Band, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Packaging Science Club. Dumont also serves on the Dean’s Student Advisory Board for the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Sciences. She has engaged in research projects related to zero-waste event planning and sustainable waste management and has gained experience in film testing for industry partners and graduate research during her time at Clemson’s Center for Flexible Packaging. Additionally, her co-op experience at Burt’s Bees has developed her skills in sustainable packaging design, leading to her recognition with the Printpack Sustainability Scholarship in 2023.
