Christmas Returns to the City Park with Vibrant Displays: A Visual Delight | News, Sports, Jobs
The Holiday in the Park exhibit in Parkersburg’s City Park kicked off with a stunning display from Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal. The lighthouse, intricately lit with holiday lights, set the stage for the rest of the show. Surrounding the lighthouse were toy soldiers guarding the path around the pond and a sea serpent glistening at the water’s edge.
The exhibit featured popular characters such as Mr. Potato Head and Shrek, adding to the festive and whimsical atmosphere of the park. The opening ceremonies began with a welcome from Jonelle Merritt of the Holiday in the Park committee and an invocation from Pastor Jamie Sprague. The Hamilton Middle School Choir then performed Christmas carols, further enhancing the holiday spirit.
The community came together to celebrate the holiday season and admire the beautiful light displays in City Park. The Holiday in the Park Christmas lights exhibit will remain open until New Year’s, providing a unique and festive experience for all visitors to enjoy.
