Child saved from dog attack thanks to brave actions of injured man

In a heroic act of bravery, a man who saved a child from a dog attack in Zagreb’s Trešnjeveca yesterday around 3 pm is currently undergoing surgery at the Dubrava Clinical Hospital. The man sustained severe physical injuries to both hands and it is uncertain how his recovery will proceed. According to Danas.hr, the hospital confirmed that the man is their employee and that the injuries he has are really serious, including tendon and cartilage injuries. However, they have confirmed that his recovery will follow.

The incident occurred on Saturday in Bernarda Vukas Street when the man saw a child being attacked by a dog. The dog had the child by the hood of his jacket with its teeth, while a woman standing nearby tried to separate the dog from the child by hitting it with a leash.
