Challenging Conversations: Tackling Taboos in Science Culture

On 14 February, we are launching a new series called “Taboos and tricky topics” to engage in challenging conversations about science culture. We believe that it is important to address the tensions within science culture and create a positive and inclusive community. We invite representatives from the chemistry community to join us in this conversation and encourage everyone to share their thoughts.

This series is a follow-up to our Vision for a great science culture, where we outlined the values, behaviors, and expectations of a positive science community. Creating a positive science culture will benefit everyone, but it will require a collective effort and may present challenges.

The goal of this series is to provide a platform for individuals at different career stages and from different backgrounds to share their perspectives on taboos and tricky topics within science culture. We welcome your input through our questions and comments board, where you can submit anonymously.

To participate in the conversation, visit our YouTube channel or LinkedIn page at 4pm UK time on 14 February. You can also submit your questions and comments at any time leading up to the event. For more information, please visit our website.
