Airbus has reached a preliminary agreement to supply 152 aircraft to Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific Air, with the order being worth $24 billion (€22.4 billion) at list prices. This marks the largest aircraft order ever in the Philippines and is a testament to the continued confidence of Cebu Pacific in Airbus’ products.
Cebu Pacific Air, already the largest player in the Philippines aviation market, will purchase 102 A321neo aircraft with an option for another 50 units. The A321neo is Airbus’ best-selling aircraft and has an order book filled for years to come. This deal solidifies the partnership between the two companies and underscores Airbus’ position as a leading aircraft manufacturer in the industry.
Airbus expressed gratitude to Cebu Pacific for their continued confidence in their products and looks forward to finalizing the contract in the third quarter. With this deal, Cebu Pacific will expand its fleet to about 185 aircraft, including some smaller propeller planes. This move will enable them to better serve their customers and meet growing demand in the region.
